CAU GRS Scholarship
Eligibility
  • Admitted students (excluding international admissions).
  • Full-time (unemployed) students with excellent academic records who meet the criteria below.
  • Selected from applicants through scholarship evaluation within the budget.
Tracks and Criteria
Track Eligibility Criteria
ST(Superior Track) Students admitted to CAU Graduate School after receiving designated undergraduate scholarships (e.g., CAU Leader, Science Leader) throughout their 4 years at CAU.
AT(Advanced Track) Master’s / Combined Master’s–Doctoral / Integrated Bachelor’s–Master’s: GPA ≥ 3.0 (on 4.5 scale)
Doctoral: Undergraduate GPA ≥ 3.0 (on 4.5 scale) and Master’s GPA ≥ 4.0 (on 4.5 scale)
※ For graduates, undergraduate grades are evaluated up to the 8th semester; for prospective graduates, grades are evaluated up to the 7th semester.

※ Type A and Type B apply to master’s programs in the Humanities/Social Sciences/Arts, as well as to all fields of the Combined Bachelor’s–Master’s Program for new students. Students must choose one option.

※ If acknowledgment (funding statement) is not included upon thesis submission, the publication will not be recognized.
※ Failure to meet the publication requirements may result in scholarship withdrawal or ineligibility for graduation.
Chung-Ang Love Research Scholarship
Awarded to graduate assistants (Research Assistant A/B, Teaching Assistant, Lab Assistant) recommended by their advisor and department chair.
Scholarship details follow CAU’s assistantship regulations.
Research Assistant A
  • Available to full-time master’s/doctoral students (new or 2nd semester).
  • Assists with teaching, lab, and research duties of full-time faculty.
  • One assistant per professor.
  • Full tuition (excluding admission fee) covered; renewal each semester.
  • Must co-author at least one paper with supervising professor in JCR/SCOPUS journals or KCI-indexd journals.
Academic Excellence Scholarship
Awarded each semester to outstanding full-time enrolled students, based on recommendation by the department chair.
  • Awarded each semester to outstanding full-time enrolled students, based on recommendation by the department chair.
  • Eligibility: Current students within standard study period (excluding freshmen).
  • Criteria: At least 6 credits and GPA ≥ 3.8 in previous semester; must not exceed 50% tuition coverage from other scholarships.
  • Amount: KRW 2,000,000
  • Recipients: 1 student per department
Welfare Scholarship
For enrolled graduate students facing financial hardship.
Awarded each semester based on application and screening (amount varies).
International Student Scholarship
: Awarded within budget limits.

First Semester

TOPIK Level 6 or TOEFL iBT 91 / TOEIC 780 / IELTS 6.5 → 100% tuition

TOPIK Level 5 → 70% tuition

GPA equivalent ≥ 80/100 → 50% tuition

100% tuition if GPA equivalent ≥ 70/100

Second Semester

Applied based on remaining study period.

100% tuition (excluded if GPA < 3.3).

Remaining Study Period

GPA ≥ 4.3 → 50% tuition
GPA 3.3–4.29 → 30% tuition
GPA < 3.3 → Ineligible

Must complete ≥ 6 credits per semester.

Research Achievement Support Fund
  • Application: Each semester (see Graduate School website).
  • Eligibility: Enrolled students and research registrants.
  • Amount: KRW 500,000 – 1,500,000
  • Conditions: Publication in JCR, SCOPUS, or KCI-indexed journals.
